I (Ma) have tried to post a new blog a few times in the past couple of days but have had to cancel because of interuptions. I will just make this short so as to get it done.
We had a wonderful Christmas holiday with the highlights being my whole family was together and we had others join us from near and far. I laughed long and hard on Christmas day while playing Cranium. I will never be able to hear the word "cleptomaniac" without smiling again! On boxing day Tom and I went to the cabin and Kayle, Bryan and Anthony joined us for a while and Anthony got caught in the sleepy chair! Trisha arrived from Redding that night and we got to meet Simeon who arrived just hours after her. It was a blessing to welcome Trisha back although it was odd having her stay blocks away at Aaron and Bobbie's but I hear she was warm and cozy over there! Such fun to have Simeon with us but so sad he did not catch a fish, although he tried. Kay joined us too and she just left today to return to Scotland. We brought in the New year with a bang and a fireworks display courtesy of Kayle who prophesied regarding each explosion. This was after some amazing rounds of stock ticker where Geordie learned the value of diversification ... or not. Jon, Kayle and Simeon slept out in the trailer and managed to stay warmer than we in the cabin then got up bright and early to meet a crew from Red Deer for toboganning. We opted to stay at the cabin and had such a cool time praying for Trisha. Another definite highlight was that she got to weld a few days later. God is so good. Okay so this is getting long and rambling so I will give the remaining highlight in point form
-Geordie catching a big rainbow trout and teaching Jonah how to gut it.
-spending a day with the Tanasiuk kids and Stef praying that they would all catch a fish and they did.
-praying for Simeon and feeling the fire in his heart.
-having coffee with Geord and Stef and hearing of the desire in their hearts to follow hard after God... and just having them home with us.
-getting more acquainted with Kay and hearing "Terry, would you like a cuppa tea?" and just having her around.
-shopping in St. Albert mall with Bobbie and Kay and coming home with bags of stuff and oohing and aahing over our purchases after ( with a cuppa tea).
-seeing Aaron overcome computer repair disaster!
-cross country skiing and seeing a weasel and some deer and then in the evening watching 9 deer feed at a cabin near ours.
-watching Kayle become a master waffle maker with Simeon and Jon as his willing waffle eaters.
-taking pictures and laughing.
-having my best friend Tom here every day and tasting of his new bread making skills, not to mention muffins and scones.
-Wow there is more but I will close for now and go to bed with a full and thankful heart.
Happy New Year and God Bless your 2007.
